Show Notes

We live in uncertain times. The pace of life is fast, culture feels divided, and people are searching for solid ground to stand on. It’s not all that different from the world the early church faced. About 60 years after Jesus rose from the dead, the church found itself struggling and trying to hold on to its identity as God’s people in the middle of pressure, persecution, and distraction. It’s into that world that Jesus speaks — through the Apostle John in the Book of Revelation — to seven real churches in real cities. His words are both comforting and challenging. They offer encouragement and correction, praise and warning. And they aren’t just ancient words for ancient people… they’re words for us today. So as we study these letters together, let’s not just read what Jesus said to them, let’s be ready to hear what He wants to say to us. Because his voice still speaks and He’s still shaping His Church today.

This Sunday, former Emmanuel Faith Senior Pastor, Dennis Keating, will speak from Revelation 3:1-6 in his sermon message, “Sardis: A Letter to a Dead and Dying People.”
